FREE Streetdance Classes

We are really excited to be launching our MOTIV-8 project in January 2012. The aim of the project is to encourage children and young people from low income families, who may not normally have the opportunity to participate in dance classes, to experience and enjoy the art of dance and it's numerous benefits including improved fitness, confidence building, developing skills, making friends and having fun!!

Those in receipt of income-based benefits can attend our eight week streetdance course absolutely FREE! The course, supported by Basildon Council, will run every Tuesday from 10th January 2012 for eight weeks at the following times: 4yrs+ 4-5pm; 8yrs+ 5-6pm; 12yrs+ 6-7pm. Participants will focus on the foundations of this popular dance style, learning all the latest moves to their favourite tunes!

Our end of year showcase 2011

Tickets are now on sale for our end of year showcase. This year's theme is Alice in Wonderland -Street Style! Rehearsals are fully underway, everyone is working really hard and we are all very excited!

Performing on the big stage is lots of fun, improves performance skills and is a great way to build confidence. It also gives family and friends the opportunity to see just how much our dancers have achieved and improved throughout the year. We hope that you will join us by supporting our young dancers as they take to the stage for this streetdance sensation (some will be performing on stage for the very first time!).

Competition to find Kayzar's best dancer 2011 starts 7pm

The Kayzar pumpkin!

Well done Ellie (and her grandad!) for winning best carved pumpkin at our spooktacular halloween party at the end of October. This is definitely the BEST pumpkin I have ever seen!

Thank you to everyone who came along on the night - you all looked brilliant in your halloween costumes and a great night was had by all!

Kayzar at Mayhem

Our dance crews, Legacy and Xposed, and our Southend seniors performed at Mayhem nightclub in Southend as part of their halloween spectacular. Well done everyone who took part - great performances! Also thank you to OMG U18 for inviting us to perform once again. We always have a great time performing at these events!

Wickford Has Talent Champions!

Our streetdance crew, Legacy, were crowned champions in the Wickford Has Talent competition on 15th October. Two of our dance crews made it through to the finals of the competition held at the Wickford Community Centre. Well done Legacy and Blackout! The evening was jam-packed full of talent and helped to raise money for charity. If you would like to learn to dance like the champions come along to our Wickford dance classes every Thursday.

Our 1st anniversary party

A big thank you to everyone who came along to our 1st anniversary party. Our rhythm and funk dance studios has now been open for one whole year and what a great year it has been with many achievements and lots of laughs (as well as tears) along the way. We are really looking forward to seeing what the next year brings for us all - exciting times ahead!

kayzar on tour with peridot

October started with a bang as we supported Peridot on their first ever UK tour "Peridot | Past Present and Beyond". The event, which took place at the Towngate Theatre in Basildon, was a brilliant night of streetdance with many amazing acts showcasing their talent. I'm so so proud of all our dancers - a massive well done to you all! Wishing the boys the best of luck for the final dates of their tour from all of us at Kayzar!
